Overview: Selcuklu evi is a lovely boutique hotel and a superb example of seljuk architecture. Situated in a small lane surrounded by local homes and gardens this district has panoramic views of rock hewn caves and the elderly village of ürgüp. This antique dwelling has been lovingly restored by hand. The local craftsmen of ürgüp spent 2 years to total the restoration. Each block was quarried from the local district and then manually sculptured and leveled before becoming part of selcuklu evi. As much as feasible of the original dwelling has been preserved, although numerous years of decay and erosion had left limited resources. Each motif and impression on the stones has a story and that is why this restoration is so unique.
